Day 1 - Arrival in Munnar
Arrive in Munnar, a hill station nestled in the Western Ghats. Known for its tea plantations, Munnar offers a cool, refreshing atmosphere. On arrival, check into your hotel and take a short break. Later, explore the scenic tea estates and the famous Mattupetty Dam. Enjoy boating on the dam’s tranquil waters and admire the surrounding hills and lush greenery. Visit the Echo Point and Kundala Lake, known for their breathtaking views and serenity. You can also visit the Tea Museum to learn about Munnar’s tea history. Spend the evening at leisure, soaking in the beauty of the surroundings before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Munnar Sightseeing
Day 3 - Munnar to Alleppey - Houseboat Experience
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Munnar and drive to Alleppey (approximately 4 hours). Known as the “Venice of the East,” Alleppey is famous for its backwaters and houseboat cruises. On arrival, board a traditional Kerala houseboat for an unforgettable experience on the backwaters. The houseboat ride takes you through serene canals, paddy fields, and villages, offering a unique perspective of Kerala’s rural life. Enjoy the tranquillity of the backwaters as you pass by lush green landscapes, coconut trees, and charming local houses. Lunch and dinner are served on the houseboat, offering a variety of traditional Kerala delicacies. Overnight stay on the houseboat.
Day 4 - Alleppey - Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the houseboat before disembarking. After your houseboat experience, you will visit the Alleppey Beach to relax and enjoy the serene coastal atmosphere. You may also explore the nearby Krishnapuram Palace, a 16th-century structure showcasing traditional Kerala architecture. Depending on your departure time, you can also visit the local markets for souvenirs. After the sightseeing, drive back to Kochi (around 1.5-2 hours) to catch your return flight or onward journey, marking the end of your memorable Kerala tour.
